A bit decrepit album of covers with a not-so-bad attempt at continuing their own original work in the form of the opening track. Why is it a bit decrepit? Because the energy fades as soon as the original demands even a little pick-me-up. Perhaps Tesla intended the material to be tragic or lyrical, but some songs simply don't lend themselves to that by their very nature. Although the arrangement of James Brown's famous "I Feel Good" stands out from the crowd. When it comes to playing measured blues-rock, Tesla sound like a band in an American bar at the end of a party. True, the title and cover art suggest that this is intended. However, the guitar work can also be highlighted; the solos invigorate the listen as much as possible.
